Sprue Grinder
Someone mentioned to me that Games Workshop used a meat grinder to make rubble out of sprue.
While antiquing with my lovely wife I happened across one with three heads and for $6. How could I not try?
Unit has clamp screw which securs it to the table - you have to make sure it is *secure* as the grinding is not smooth.
I had to clip the sprue down to smaller pieces to help prevent things from clogging - it's still not flawless but works.
I have to keep one hand over the hopper and a plastic bag over the output in order to keep pieces from flying.
Here is the finished product next to a figure for size comparison - it's light, free, and I think fits the bill!
