Strukvo Bridge
The is a play test of WWII specific variant for DHR.
TWo Russian columns and two German columns advance on a small town and its vital bridge!
Lend Lease Sherman tanks advance down the right flank.
German PZ IVHs oppose them!
A long distance barrage is initiated and a Sherman explodes! The platoon leader 'evades' in front of the others!
Mean while a column of T34-85s with Battalion Command advance down the main road.
A platoon travels in advance of the main body.
German Panthers arrive and on the right begin to fire at maximum range on the Shermans!
Using the woods as cover the Shermans begin to creep forward to keep the Panthers busy.
The burning Sherman continues to smoke and explode.
The advance platoon of T34-85s gains the bridge and occupies the village (drawn with chalk)!
The Battalion Commander occupies a clearing in the middle of the woods where he can control all T34-85s.
PZIVH platoon advances down the road at top right firing on the village hull down T34-85s at top center. The Bn Cdr can be seen alone at left in the middle of the woods. At bottom right two platoons of Shermans advance down either side of the river - one skirting the woods and the other entering the wheat field which stretches out before them.

The T34-85s in the village take the heat and soon two tanks are immobilized - but their crews fight on!!!

The T34-85s begin to pour out of the woods via the main road as the Panthers and PZIVHs open fire. Unfortuantely the test match ended here but we got some good feedback and made some updates to the rules!
