Raid on Fort Gordon
The British army has assigned two units of infantry and a machinegun to guard Fort Gordon. It is soon attacked by five units of cavalry.
Facing west: The arab horde can be seen at left. Fleeing in front of the horde are two British scouts caught at the last moment before they can make it to the safety of the fort. At center Fort Gordon is prepared and manned with minimal guards. Scattered in the various buildings at right are the two units of infantry and their commanding subaltern.
Facing east: The arab horde up close - you can see the unfortunate British in front at top left of center.
Facing south: Fort Gordon interior with minimal staffing as the arabs catch the British off guard.
Facing southeast: The subaltern at top left becomes vaguely aware that something is amiss as the sergeant at center left calls out the troops from their billet. Even the machinegun is as of yet unmanned at center. (NOTE: figures on top of buildings are actually inside of them.)
Facing south: The two British scouts are run down like dogs.
Facing north: And the arab horde descends upon Fort Gordon and flows around the sides of the position like the flow of a great river. The small group of British at the walls pours a pitiful fire into the ranks of the attackers.
Facing northeast: One of the sergeants signaling to the fort to hold their position whilst his men take aimed rifle fire upon the raiders as they appear around the sides of the fort storming straight towards them.
Facing south: The arab flow to the left is stopped dead in its tracks by the accurate rifle from fire below. The mass of raiders to the right as about to receive a snout full of machinegun fire from the Maxim at bottom.
Facing southwest: The arab leader rallies his repulsed men at the base of the fort wall.
Facing west: Part of the arab force climbs up and over the fort walls driving back the handful of British guards.
Facing south: The fort falls into arab hands and the second surge of raiders is again bloodied by accurate rifle and powerful machinegun fire.
Facing east: Despite their best efforts the British in the surrounding mud buildings are quickly assailed on all sides by the surviving arabs. The arab leader can be seen leading from the front at bottom right.
Facing east: The arab leader charges across the open square of the town to attack two British foot coming to the aid of their subaltern. In the ensuing frenzy he manages to slay one of them before fellow British troops shoot his horse out from under him.
Facing east: Having his horse shot out from under him the arab leader rises to his feet and dispatches the remaining British soldier. Dodging several more rifle shots the fearless arab spies teh British officer at top right and charges to melee!
Facing south: The leaders of the two opposing sides meet in deadly combat. When the smoke clears the subaltern is no more!
Facing east: Watching from their position at bottom left the horrified British survivors turn their trusty Maxim on the inhuman arab leader at top left. With a long burst of machinegun bullets the arab leader is finally put to the ground for good. Arabs at top right consolidate their hold on Fort Gordon.
Facing south: As the surviving British setup their Maxim at the well in the square they are charged by a lone arab swordsman who succeeds in felling on of them before falling dead himself. It soon becomes a waiting game with time running out for the Brits!
Facing south: Forced to take action the Brits advance to the gate of the fort. Looking in they detect nothing untill they spot the an arab head peaking out at left. To their horror several raiders emerge from their ambush and descend upon the hapless crew.
Facing south: A lone British soldier is sent fleeing off into the desert. He doesn't get far as the arabs turn the machinegun at bottom center upon him and give the imperial army the whole nine yards.

Result:
The arabs manage to butcher the British to a man and hold the fort. Although the victors are few in number the destruction of the imperial force will be felt across the continent.
