| Facing south-east: The town is out of view to the bottom center. At near top left you can see gun number two awaiting the opportunity to fire as at center gun number one finally fires on a band of native spears off view to the right. At top center two more bands of natives can be seen closing in on the rail road town. It is commonly believed that the junior officer should have lept his guns on the opposite side of the open field at bottom so as to give his guns better fields of fire and more opportunity to use canister with greater effect. |
