| Temple of Doom |

Three squads of mercenaries are holed up in their village compund at top center guarding the only approach to the recently discovered ancient temple. Learning of this two squads of Confederate infantry and two squads of Confederate cavalry approach at bottom, a squad of US Marines at top right, and two squads of French at top left hastily set out to sieze this prize for themselves. Overnight two squads of Germans, with machinegun and automobile have infiltrated into the temple grounds. |

| Facing north: The Germans take up positions to either side of the stone approach with their machinegun aimed right down the middle. Any assault down this lane will be costly for the attacker. The German officer braces the automobile against a large stone that is blocking access to a treasure chamber below in order to move it out of the way. |

| Facing north: During the ensuing fighting the mercenaries in the village are reduced severly and their pitiful surviving bands can just be made out above the edge of the village dirt at center top and just below the wall at right. The Confederates at top have begin their push to take the town as their cavalry begins to raid in from the top right. The Americans at left have also taken severe casualties and have halted at the dge of the building at |

| The Garmen riflemen in the temple open a last ditch effort and drop their beast while the others are shot to the ground in a hail of gun fire outside. What remains of the Germans and French will have much difficulty holding their parts of the temple from any attackers. |

| The US Marines withdraw completely while the mercenaries and French are all but dead. The Rebs are left waiting for their opportunity to strike at the Germans having taken the least amount of casualties as the sun sets and the night begins. |
